South by Southwest-- Music & film festival

You may have heard of the Sundance music & film festival.  The Texas version is bigger and better—aptly named the South by Southwest music and film festival. During the couple weeks of the festival over twelve hundred bands played.  And with security somewhat lax for photographers, I pretty much got to mingle with the bands.  Most of the bands I saw were excellent with only a few suffering from the acoustics of the venue.  My favorite moment was when I got to meet ‘Pinetop Perkins’ two time Grammy winner at Nuno’s.  Across the street I got to hang out and watch Megan Tubb and her shady people.   Enjoy my images included below of the festival.  I would highly recommend a trip to Austin during the South by Southwest music and film festival.  To see the images click on my Music and Entertainment link tab.
